Boldly Blooming

Materials: Acrylic paint, Carpentry, Electrical Wiring, Faux butterflies, Faux foliage, Hand sketching, Hot glue, Lamp kit, Recycled shells, Wire, Wooden lamp base

Boldly Blooming pays tribute to the artist Ashley Longshore. Longshore is known for her use of butterflies, vibrant colors, and foliage. This luminaire encompasses all three elements that are common in Longshore's work.

The purpose of this project was to create an extension of the Ashley Longshore brand. The name ALSwell comes from a combination of Longshore's initials, and the phrase "all is well."  Furthermore, this project encouraged branding techniques, sketching, and becoming familiar with how to construct a fully functioning luminaire design. The logo design was part of a partner project where my partner created the final design.
